Report: B.J. Johnson Gets Major Offers
Lower Merion's junior guard is getting more attention from colleges, his coach told Patch.
Boston College and Penn State have joined St. Joseph's in offering basketball scholarships to BJ Johnson, the junior guard who helped lead Lower Merion to the state championship game this year, Rivals.com reported.
Johnson's profile has risen during AAU play, the site reported, and he has at least eight offers in hand.
"Interest in BJ is growing," Lower Merion Coach Gregg Downer told Patch via email Tuesday. "I think he has great potential, and if he keeps working hard and improving, he should be able to land a high-level scholarship."

Downer said with Johnson a year away from graduation, there's no timetable on a decision: "We will look at his list in the fall and evaluate at that time."
Next season, the Aces will be without graduating seniors Darryl Reynolds, Mike Robbins and Bryce Williamson.
