Van Catches Fire In Ardmore Over Weekend

A van caught fire next to a garage Saturday afternoon in Ardmore, and quick work by firefighters likely prevented the fire's spread.

ARDMORE, PA — Firefighters in Ardmore sprung into action to quell a vehicle fire over the weekend.

The vehicle fire was called in at about 12:51 p.m. Saturday at Spring and Cricket avenues.

The Merion Fire Company of Ardmore said crews showed up and found smoke coming from a van next to a garage on Clifford Avenue.

Firefighters had the blaze under control quickly, and all crews were back in service with about 45 minutes.
