WEATHER ALERT: Wild Winds Bring Dangerous Cold

The National Weather Service is tracking a storm that will bring a wintry mix of snow, sleet and rain to the region on Saturday and Sunday.

Strong winds will make Thursday’s frigid temperatures even colder.

The highs on Thursday won’t make it out of the teens, the National Weather Service said, and the lows are below zero.

Wind gusts could be as high as 35 mph, the NWS said. In extreme weather like that, frostbite can develop in as little as 10 minutes.
