Work Affecting I-76 Traffic In Lower Merion Township Next Week
The work is being done under a $37.9 million project to resurface and repair nearly five miles of the interstate, ramps, and bridges.

LOWER MERION TOWNSHIP, PA — PennDOT said milling, paving and guiderail installation will affect traffic on Interstate 76 in Lower Merion and Philadelphia next week.
The work is being done under a $37.9 million project to resurface and repair nearly five miles of the interstate, the associated on-and-off ramps, and more than 20 bridges in Lower Merion Township and Philadelphia.

- Monday and Thursday from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. the following morning, the ramps to-and-from Girard Avenue to eastbound I-76 will be closed and detoured. Drivers will be directed to follow the posted detour routes.
- Monday through Friday, June 6, from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. the following morning, a lane closure is scheduled on sections of I-76 in both directions between the U.S. 1 and I-676 interchanges.
- Tuesday from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. the following morning, the ramp from Girard Avenue to westbound I-76 will be closed and detoured. Drivers will be directed to use Girard Avenue, Belmont Avenue, and Montgomery Drive to access the ramp to westbound I-76.
- Tuesday from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. the following morning, the ramp from westbound I-76 to Lincoln/Kelly Drive will be closed and detoured. Drivers will be directed to continue on westbound I-76, exit at Belmont Avenue, and use the ramp to eastbound I-76 to access Lincoln Drive/Kelly Drive.
- Thursday from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. the following morning, the ramp from eastbound I-76 to U.S. 1 will be closed and detoured. Drivers will be directed to continue on eastbound I-76, exit at Montgomery Drive, and use the ramp to westbound I-76 to access U.S. 1.
Drivers are advised to allow extra time when traveling near or through the work areas because significant backups and delays will occur.
