Baldwin Baseball Team Impresses at CIT Tournament

Patch reader Mary Kolski recently uploaded a picture to Patch's Pics & Clips gallery of a -area 12-year-old travel baseball team that finished in second place in a Crafton-Ingram-Thornburg (CIT) tournament this past weekend.

Pictured from left to right are, back row: Coach Bill Jackson, Korey Tierney, Anthony Rago, Danny Kolski, Coach Dave Kolski, Jake Maggs, Mike Goga, Coach Jay Monroe and Collin Ammann; and front row: Jake Monroe, Rod Otto, Scott Meyer, James Rebel, Nick Jackson and Cameron King.

According to Kolski, the Baldwin boys beat a team from the Shaler Township area to reach the tournament final but lost to the Glacier Travel Team in the championship game.

Baldwin's head coach is Jay Monroe. Monroe's team will soon head to Cooperstown, NY, to compete in a tournament from June 22-29.
