Robert S. Toski, 48, of 5139 Janie Drive in , pleaded guilty in federal court on Wednesday to , according to U.S. Attorney David J. Hickton.
Toski made his plea in front of U.S. District Judge Joy Flowers Conti.
In connection with the guilty plea, the court was advised that Toski knowingly caused the transmission of a program, information, code or command, and as a result of such conduct, intentionally caused damage, without authorization, to a protected computer. The computer was a JPMorgan Chase server for PaymentNet located in Salt Lake City, UT. The offense caused a $3,376.48 loss to Levy Restaurants and JPMorgan Chase during a one-year period.

Judge Conti scheduled sentencing for Oct. 12, 2012, at 2:30 p.m. Toski faces a total sentence of not more than one year in prison, a fine of $100 or both. Under federal sentencing guidelines, the actual sentence imposed is based upon the seriousness of the offense and the criminal history, if any, of the defendant.
Pending sentencing, Toski remains free on bond.

Assistant U.S. Attorney Paul E. Hull is prosecuting this case on behalf of the government.
The U.S. Secret Service conducted the investigation that led to the prosecution of Toski.
