Let's Make the New School Year Exceptional

Dear Families of the Baldwin-Whitehall School District:

Find out what's happening in Baldwin-Whitehallfor free with the latest updates from Patch.

People often say, "Life is what you make it." I think the same wisdom is true of education. Every day, each one of us has a new chance to make our educational experience something even better than it was before. That's why Baldwin–Whitehall is kicking off the 2021–2022 school year with a creative and empowering call to action: "We Make Education _____." What word goes in that blank space? That's up to you!

Maybe your word is... Fun? Interesting? Challenging? Personalized? Transformative? Life–Changing? The answer will be different for everyone. It may also change throughout the year, or even throughout the week, depending on what kind of experience you want to have and share with others.

But the important thing to remember is that we have the power to make our educational experience whatever we want it to be. This is true whether you're a student in the classroom, athlete in the competitive arena, or performer in the theater. As parents we also possess incredible power to assist our children in this journey. No matter who you are, YOU help create the educational experience for yourself and for everyone around you.

This year, I invite our students, teachers, staff, and community to take a moment and ask yourselves: What do YOU want the experience of the 2021-2022 school year to be? We are all very well aware of the challenges that are sure to confront us, but by working together, we can turn those optimistic visions into reality and help make this school year an exceptional experience that our District will never forget.

Please join me on Wednesday, September 1, 2021, for our first day of school for students as we begin this work together for the new school year.

Sincerely,

Dr. Randal A. Lutz

Superintendent of the Baldwin-Whitehall School District
