Baldwin-Whitehall School District To Upgrade Buildings

BALDWIN, PA — The Baldwin-Whitehall School District has received a $144,000 state grant to improve its facilities.
State Rep. Nick Pisciottano announced the funding on Monday.
“Our kids deserve schools that are free of environmental hazards,” Pisciottano, D-West Mifflin said in a news release, adding that the money will help Baldwin-Whitehall create a safer learning environment for all of its students.

The funds can be used to repair and replace air conditioners and heaters, remove asbestos and lead pipes, fix roofs and address other environmental hazards.
The grant is sourced from the state Department of Education’s Environmental Repairs Grant Program and is part of $75 million awarded to 109 schools across the state in this round of funding.
