Frugal Family: Irish Grub

The Baldwin-Whitehall Patch's Frugal Family article features area deals on traditional Irish food this week. Saturday is St. Patrick's Day!

1.) Red Potatoes
Deal: —you can find one on Sussex Avenue in Baldwin Township—is selling 3-pound bags of red potatoes for $0.99 each.
Good through: March 20, 2012.

2.) Green Cabbage
Deal: Recently opened  at the Brownsville Plaza in Baldwin Borough has heads of green cabbage for sale at just $0.15 per pound (limit: four heads per customer). You must use a Bottom Dollar membership card to get the savings.
Good through: March 21, 2012.

3.) Corned Beef
Deal: McGinnis Sisters Special Food Stores, which has a location on Route 51 in nearby Brentwood Borough, is selling Grobbel's fully marinated oven-ready corned beef briskets for $4.29 per pound.
Good through: March 21, 2012.

4.) Eggs
Deal: —you can find one on Joseph Street in Baldwin Borough—will sell you a dozen Hillandale Grade A large eggs for just $1.
Good through: March 21, 2012.

5.) Cookies
Deal: —there's one in Whitehall Borough's —is selling 10-packs of St. Patrick's Day cut-out cookies for $4.79 each. The cookies, from the store's bakery, are in the shape of clovers and are covered in green sprinkles.
Good through: March 21, 2012.
