Frugal Family: Mother's Day Gifts

If you don't feel the need to spend an arm and a leg for Mother's Day this year, here are some deals from in and around Baldwin-Whitehall that would make for great gifts for Mom.

Deal: Lowe's—you can find one on Baptist Road in nearby Bethel Park—will sell you a 1.5-gallon-holder's worth of Bud & Bloom roses for $7.98.

2.) Chocolate
Deal: Rite Aid, which has two locations in Baldwin-Whitehall (, ), is selling 8.25-12-ounce boxes of Russell Stover chocolates and 7-12-ounce boxes of Whitman's Sampler chocolates for $4.88 each. You must use a Rite Aid wellness+ rewards card to get the savings.

3.) Cake
Deal: McGinnis Sisters Special Food Stores, which has a location on Route 51 in nearby Brentwood Borough, is selling decorated Mother's Day cakes from its own bakery for $5.99 each.
Good through: May 16, 2012.

4.) Hanging Flower Baskets
Deal: —you can find one on Sussex Avenue in Baldwin Township—has assorted 10-inch hanging flower baskets (with flowers) available for $5.99 each. (Hooks are not included.)
Good through: May 15, 2012.

5.) Makeup
Deal: —you can find one on Route 51 in Baldwin Borough—is offering all Revlon cosmetics on a buy-one-get-one-half-off basis if you use a CVS ExtraCare rewards card.
Good through: May 12, 2012.
