Glass Run Bridge Replacement Plans on Display

Project scheduled for early 2014.

Now through July 18, the on Churchview Avenue will host documents related to a Glass Run Road bridge replacement project that is scheduled to begin in early 2014.

A blueprint and other materials—all available for public view—can be found in the complex's lobby outside of the municipal auditorium during regular business hours (Mondays through Fridays from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.).

The bridge to be replaced sits between Gensler and Cathell roads in north Baldwin and carries Glass Run Road over the Glass Run waterway.

The project includes the removal of an existing bridge and the installation of a new structure, as well as reconstruction of that part of Glass Run Road in order to improve alignment. A detour will occur during the construction process.

Feedback on the project is being accepted. The available plans identify the project location, illustrate the bridge replacement preliminary design and define a proposed detour, which is essentially East Carson Street to Becks Run Road and vice versa.
