Hop Over to South Hills Village to See the Easter Bunny

The furry guy arrives for photos on March 7.

Hippity hoppity. The Easter Bunny is on his way to South Hills Village.

The Bunny Photo Experience begins on March 7 and runs through March 30 at the mall's lower level north court—by the new Target.

"We love to hold family-friendly events at South Hills Village, and we always look forward to watching children interact with the Bunny at Easter," said Jennifer Carroll, marketing director at South Hills Village.

Additionally, following the success of Simon Malls' 2012 Caring Santa initiative where thousands of guests participated, the Caring Bunny event at South Hills Village will offer families that have children with special needs a subdued environment to participate in the Bunny Photo Experience. From 9 to 10:30 a.m. on Sunday, March 24, many steps will be taken to reduce sensory triggers, creating a more comforting environment for children's cherished visits with the Easter Bunny. The subdued environment is likely to include:

  • turning off in-mall music, stopping escalators located near the photo set, dimming the lights and shutting down fountains for the duration of the event; and
  • special activities geared toward the needs of the child during the "wait" period to help the child understand what activities will occur during the visit.

The Simon Kidgits Club will also host a special Easter event from 1 to 3 p.m. on March 16 in the lower level north court where kids can participate in various Easter and springtime craft-making activities and games.
