Man Jumps Through Window After Gun Pulled on Charlotte Drive

police are looking for a large man believed to be from McKeesport who reportedly drew a gun on a Charlotte Drive man on Sunday night in south Baldwin. 

Police came to the 400 block of Charlotte at around 11 p.m. to find a resident who said that a man known to his son had entered his home and demanded money at gunpoint related to a possible drug deal, Chief Michael Scott said.

The son had arrived at the Charlotte home accompanied by the gunman, but the gunman did not reveal his weapon until the son and father refused to cooperate with him.

The father went upstairs after hearing a commotion in the son's bedroom, and that is when the gun was drawn and aimed at the father.

The son would only identify the gunman as "Robert," an adult black man from McKeesport whom he estimated to be 6 feet 3 inches tall and 250 pounds with a full beard and buzzed haircut.

When the gun was drawn at the father, the son jumped out of an open window at the Charlotte home and ran to a nearby Elaine Drive residence to take safety. The son did not know the residents of the Elaine home. Those residents were one of multiple neighbors to notify police of the incident.

Baldwin police are investigating this disturbance and are asking anyone with information regarding the gunman to call them at 412-882-9600, ext. 200.

The gunman arrived at and left the Charlotte home in a car that also included a white male driver with a thin face and another black male passenger.

There were no shots fired and no major injuries.
