REMINDER: 'Movies Under the Stars' Return for 2012

's Recreation Department has released the 2012 schedule of its popular "Movies Under the Stars" series, which features three movies to be shown from June 23-Aug. 18 on a large screen set up at .

This year, area residents will be treated to Happy Feet Two on Saturday, June 23; The Muppets on Saturday, July 21; and The Hunger Games on Saturday, Aug. 18.

Each movie starts at 9 p.m., but the festivities surrounding the movies get under way at 7 p.m. with vendors in the Caste Village parking lot selling pizza, burgers, hot dogs, tacos, nachos, soft pretzels, funnel cakes, shaved ice, kettle corn and more.

Also, airbrush tattoos, balloon art and hair braiding are available, as is access to "The Ultimate Gaming Trailer," a 50-foot trailer filled with video games.

Admission is free, and the movies are shown on a 30-foot inflatable screen.

Recreation Director Kelly Joyce reminds those interested in attending the events to bring lawn chairs and blankets.
