Portion of Brownsville Road Construction Completed, Be Aware of New Alignment

Be aware of a change in the traffic pattern on Brownsville Road starting Saturday following the completion of a portion of the road's construction.

Traffic on Brownsville Road between Willard Drive and Curry Hollow Road will be re-routed from the existing alignment to the new alignment. The new traffic signals will also be activated at that time.  The work is part of the $8.6 million project to improve the intersection of Brownsville Road, Broughton Road and Curry Hollow Road.

At 7 a.m. on Saturday, June 8, northbound and southbound traffic on Brownsville Road between Willard Drive and Curry Hollow Road will be re-routed. Motorists should use caution and watch for changing traffic patterns and possible 15 minute stoppages while crews remove concrete barriers and existing controls.  Baldwin Borough Police will be on hand to control traffic in the new intersection.

Additionally, motorists traveling southbound on Brownsville Road should watch for additional changing traffic patterns between Thomas Avenue and Cochran Mill Road as construction crews install the next project phase traffic controls.
