Redevelopment Plan For Pittsburgh Mall Site Emerges
What will be built on the property where the former Century III Mall once stood? Clues have emeged.
PITTSBURGH, PA — A redevelopment plan has emerged for the former Century III Mall, the vast West Mifflin building whose demolition appears as though it will be completed soon.
A pamphlet seeking to lure redevelopers circulating online lists the property as having nearly 90 acres of property available for repurposing. The pamphlet was prepared by Atlantic Realty, apparently working in tandem with an entity known as Brightside CRE and Moonbeam Leasing & Management.
Moonbeam owns the mall property has been vociferously criticized for letting the mall lose the overwhelming amount of its and letting the mall deteriorate to the point where it had to be razed.

- Hospitality / Hotel
- Medical Office
Once one of the largest malls in the world, Century III's interior closed in 2019. J.C. Penney, which had an exterior entrance, was the mall's last remaining store; it went out of business in 2020.
