Scheduling Change: Baldwin Borough Community Day is June 8

A scheduling glitch has caused some confusion about the date of Baldwin Borough's Community Day. The correct date is June 8.

The date has changed for Baldwin Borough's Community Day, and the change could be a bit confusing if you read IN Community Magazine this week.

Community Day is officially scheduled for June 8 this year, but the magazine incorrectly reports that the date is June 1—not the magazine's fault, said borough manager John Barrett, but just a scheduling glitch.

In an email to Baldwin-Whitehall Patch, Barrett said the borough's Community Day is historically held the first Saturday of June. It was initially scheduled for June 1 this year, but when the borough learned that the "Showmobile"—a large stage provided by the county—was not available that day, the date was changed to June 8.

Unfortunately, the date was changed after the magazine's print deadline. Barrett initially contacted the magazine with the June 1 date, and because of the magazine's print schedule, it was already in production with that information before the change was made.

Barrett said he hopes to avoid confusion, and he hopes to see everyone at Community Day—on June 8.
