A Whitehall man was held for trial Wednesday on charges he threatened to cut out his 8-year-old son's tongue and held a knife to the boy's throat, according to the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette.
Scott Kercher, 39, is also reportedly accused of choking his 6-year-old daughter.
Kercher has been suspended from his job as a University of Pittsburgh police officer, according to the newspaper.
