2 Road Construction Projects Underway In Bensalem
PennDOT said the roadwork will cause lane closures on Bristol Pike and Knights Road this week in Bensalem Township.

BENSALEM TOWNSHIP, PA — Two road construction projects are underway in the township this week.
The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation said that road resurfacing and pavement repair operations is taking place this week on several state highways in the Philadelphia region under multiple ongoing projects to repair and resurface more than 200 miles of state highway across the five-county region.

- Friday, Oct. 17, through Friday, Oct. 24, from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. the following morning, a lane closure with flagging will be in place on sections of U.S. 13 (Bristol Pike) between Poquessing Creek and Route 63 (Woodhaven Road) in Bensalem Township for pavement repair.
- Monday, Oct. 20, through Saturday, Oct. 25, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., a lane closure with flagging will be in place on sections of Knights Road between Route 132 (Street Road) and Poquessing Creek in Bensalem Township for pavement repair.
Drivers are advised to allow extra time when through the work areas because backups and delays will occur. All scheduled activities are weather-dependent.
Under these resurfacing and improvement projects, PennDOT’s contractors are repairing, milling, and repaving state highways with new asphalt pavement that will seal roadways and provide motorists with a safer and smoother riding surface.
