2nd Hazmat Incident Reported In Same Day In Bensalem
Bensalem Township Fire Rescue Department was on the scene for a Hazmat incident earlier Tuesday before a chemical was found at another site.

BENSALEM TOWNSHIP, PA —After responding to one Hazmat incident earlier in the day, the Bensalem Township Fire Rescue Department was at the scene of a second one on Tuesday.
Earlier in the day, a lab was evacuated at Veloia Water Technologies on Somerton Road.
Fire crews were advised of a hazardous materials incident that occurred in a lab that caused the fire alarm activation.

Late Tuesday afternoon, Bensalem Township Fire Rescue responded to a possible chemical spill in the rear of a business on Center Avenue.
Crews discovered a chemical had been dumped on a gravel parking lot and requested a Hazmat response.

BC222 established Bensalem Command and Hazmat 89, Hazmat 99, E37.5, Medic 185 and the PA DEP responded to assist with the incident.
Fire crews performed air monitoring and took samples of the product.
A private environmental clean-up contractor (approved by the PA DEP) was on site to start the clean-up process, fire officials said.
