4 Career Firefighters Added In Bensalem
The Bensalem Township Fire Rescue Department recapped its past year with its career and volunteer departments.

BENSALEM TOWNSHIP, PA — The Bensalem Township Fire Rescue Department recapped its past year with its career and volunteer departments responding to over 2,000 calls and 120 critical EMS calls.
The department also inspected over 3,500 businesses, and through our fire prevention programs, educated more than 9,000 community members on fire safety and prevention.
The fire rescue department has also announced some changes for this year.

The career department will expand with new operating hours from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m.
During the new schedule, the fire rescue department will work with the Bensalem Volunteer Fire Department to ensure continuous coverage for the community.

"Along with this growth, we are proud to welcome four new firefighters who will be starting very soon," officials said. "This expansion will allow us to provide quicker response times, enhanced service, and continued commitment to quality fire prevention education."
