Andalusia Gardens Holding 1st Family Fun Day Saturday

BENSALEM TOWNSHIP, PA —The Andalusia Historic House, Gardens & Arboretum is hosting its first Family Fun Day on Saturday.

The event will be filled with activities for the whole family, including two children's storytimes, craft projects, a scavenger hunt, and craft beers.

On Saturday, Andalusia will be open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Visitors are encouraged to enjoy the various activities, or simply relax in the gardens or by the banks of the Delaware River. Picnicking is encouraged.

Admission to the gardens is $15 for adults, and free for children 12 and under. Visitors can also take a one-hour guided tour of the Historic House for an additional $15.

Tickets can be purchased at andalusiapa.org. Andalusia is located at 1237 State Road in Bensalem, less than two miles away from Northeast Philadelphia.

The lineup of activities for Andalusia’s Family Fun Day includes:

  • CHILDREN'S STORYTIME: At 11 a.m. & 2 p.m., there will be enchanting stories inspired by Andalusia's botanical and natural wonders! Led by a talented children’s librarian from the Bucks County Free Library, this entertaining storytime promises giggles, wonder, and a dash of garden magic.
  • CRAFT BEERS: Neshaminy Creek Brewing Company will be selling craft beers for adults to enjoy during their stay.
  • CRAFTS & SCAVENGER HUNT: There will be free nature-themed crafts available all day, as well as a scavenger hunt with prizes.
  • HOUSE TOURS: One-hour guided tours of the historic house are at 10 a.m., 11:30 a.m., 1 p.m. & 2:30 p.m.

Andalusia Historic House, Gardens & Arboretum is a non-profit organization and a scenic 50-acre property overlooking the Delaware River in Bensalem.
