Back To School: Bensalem 2021-22 School Calendar

BENSALEM, PA — Back-to-school planning has already begun in Bensalem, with calendars available to help parents prepare for the first day in the Bensalem Township School District.

The first day of school for students in Bensalem is either Aug. 30 or Aug. 31, depending on grade level. Students in grades 2-6, 8, and 10-12 will start Aug. 30; students in kindergarten and grades 1, 7, and 9 will start Aug. 31. All students will be back in school Sep. 1.

Heading into the upcoming school year, some dates are subject to change as the coronavirus pandemic nears its year-and-a-half point. A mix of in-person, virtual and hybrid learning is still possible in Bensalem, though the district plans to start the school year with five-day weeks of full time in person learning.

The Bensalem Township School District doesn't require kids to mask in schools, although its health and safety plan is subject to change based on any new mandates or needs in the district.

Here is the list of dates to know for this school year in the Bensalem Township School District:

First Day: Aug. 30 for 2nd-6th, 8th, and 10th-12th graders; Aug. 31 for kindergarteners and 1st, 7th, and 9th graders

Thanksgiving Break: Nov. 24-26

Winter Break: Dec. 24-Jan. 2

Spring Break: Apr. 14-Apr. 18

Last Day: Jun. 15
