Bensalem Boy Charged As Adult In September Shooting, Robbery

The 16-year-old is accused of firing a shot and stealing another young person's property during a deal to purchase cannabis.

BENSALEM, PA — A Bensalem 16-year-old has been charged as an adult in connection with a shooting and robbery in Levittown.

The 16-year-old is accused by another juvenile of robbing him at gunpoint during a deal to purchase cannabis, according to Levittown Now. Middletown Police say he fired a single shot while fighting to gain control of the other person’s backpack, and made off with it when he did.

No one was injured in the shooting.

The teen was arraigned last week by District Judge John Kelly on charges of robbery and possession of a firearm by a minor. He was sent to Bucks County Correctional Facility on 10 percent of $25,000 bail.
