Bensalem People Are More Generous Than Those in Feasterville-Trevose

Taxpayers living in the 19020 zip code gave more to charity than their neighbors in the 19053 zip code.

 

Bensalem taxpayers gave 3.6 percent of their income to charity, according to data compiled by The Chronicle of Philanthopy.” 

Based on tax records from the IRS for 2008 – the most recent year for which such data are available – Bensalem residents in the 19020 zip code gave a median contribution of $1,822 to charity on a disposable income of $50,911. In total, Bensalem taxpayers donated $16.4 million.

That’s slightly higher than their neighbors in the Feasterville-Trevose 19053 zip code who gave 3.3 percent or $1,775 on an income of $54,237. In total, Feasterville-Trevose taxpayers donated $11 million.
