A GoFundMe page has been launched to help pay for funeral expenses. So far, the page has raised more than $22,000 of its $20,000 goal.

"Peter was a 14-year-old boy who enjoyed doing everything a 14-year-old boy loved to do," page organizers said. "A sudden loss like this is very heavy and devastating. All donations are appreciated. We thank you for all your help."

The person of interest sought in the triple shooting that killed Romano was found dead in Ohio of a self-inflicted gunshot wound late last week, police said. Two other township teenagers suffered injuries during the shooting.
