Bensalem Teacher to Tour Turkey

The World Affairs Council of Philadelphia awarded teacher George Daka the Turkish American Friendship Society of the United States Fellowship for a two-week educational tour of Turkey, according to a release.

From July 15 to July 30, the Social Studies teacher will participate in a study tour organized by Anadolu Tours, visiting classical sights of Hellenistic and Roman culture from Istanbul to Ankara.

The fellowship includes round-trip airfare between New York and Istanbul, accommodations at first class hotels, most meals, all group transfers, admission fees, tax and service charges. 

“I enthusiastically accept this award and am thrilled to represent Bensalem and bring back my experience to the profession, my students, and the community,” said Daka.
