Bensalem Teen Killed In Dirt Bike Crash
The Bensalem High School student was killed and a 16-year-old, who was driving the dirt bike, was in extremely critical condition.
BENSALEM, PA — A Bensalem High School student was killed and a 16-year-old is in critical condition after the dirt bike they were riding together crashed into an SUV on Friday.
Bensalem Township Police say Raymond Horner, 18, was the passenger on the bike when it crashed at about 4 p.m. Friday at the intersection of Tyler Avenue and Virginia Avenue.
Police say the dirt bike, which was not street legal, was being driven by the 16-year-old at a high rate of speed when they went through a stop sign and crashed into a GMC Arcadia that was traveling south on Tyler Avenue.

Both teens were thrown from the dirt bike on impact, police said. Neither was wearing a helmet.
Both of them were taken to Jefferson Torresdale Hospital where the 16-year-old, whom police were not identifying, was listed in extremely critical condition. Horner was pronounced dead at the hospital.

The driver of the SUV also was treated for minor injuries, police said.
