Charter High School Denied Zoning Variance
School officials are looking for alternative sites.

School Lane Charter School (SLCS) was denied its request for a zoning variance for its new high school to be located at 3190 Tremont Avenue, Trevose.
“We are disappointed we are not able to move into this location, but we will continue to look at other alternatives for the new high school,” School Lane Charter School Principal and CEO Karen Schade said in a release. “The school is scheduled to open for grade 9 on August 27, 2012 and we will issue further updates as they become available.”
The Bensalem Township School Board approved the expansion of the school’s charter to include grades 9-12 in January. SLCS currently serves students in K-8.
