Crews Battle Truck Fire At Bensalem Giant Store

BENSALEM, PA — Firefighters in Bensalem were battling a blaze Friday morning, after a truck caught fire in the parking lot of the Giant Food Store.

Crews were on the scene before 10 a.m. Friday at the Giant at 2721 Street Rd. Photos shared online by Bensalem Fire Rescue showed the cab of a large truck completely engulfed in flames.

According to Bensalem Township Fire Marshal Rob Sponheimer, landscapers were driving the truck on Street Road when they noticed smoke coming from beneath the hood. They pulled into the Giant parking lot, where firefighters were able to put out the blaze and no one was injured, he said.
