Emmy Award Winner Coming to Parx, School Board to Appoint Facilities Manager

See what's happening on Wednesday in Bensalem.

  • TV star Kevin Meaney and comedians Mike Vecchione and Mike Corcoran will perform at Parx Casino, 2999 Street Road in Bensalem, as part of Conklin's Comedy Night on Wednesday from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m. Click here for more information.
  • The Bensalem Township School Board meets on Wednesday at 7 p.m. at district administration offices, 3000 Donallen Dr., for its continued meeting from last month. The board is expected to name a new facilities manager to replace former facilities manager Robert Moseley, who was arrested earlier this year in connection with a scandal that bilked the district of $1.5 million.
  • Also before the school board is a request from administration to consider the district's 450 seventh-graders for a research study. Click here for more on the study, which is aimed at showing how much "grit" students have. 
  • The Pennsylvania Environmental Council will host a meeting on Wednesday at The Playmasters Theater at Neshaminy State Park, 3401 State Road, in Bensalem. From 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. attendees can view plans and ask questions of the project team related to the East Coast Greenway - Neshaminy Creek Crossing Feasibility Study. A presentation and question and answer session will follow from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m.
  • Tickets are available for St. Charles Borromeo School's ninth annual chance and auction night, which is slated for Friday at 7 p.m. in the Maltese Room, 2049 Bristol Pike in Bensalem. Click here for more details.
