Flooding Alert Issued In Bensalem Township
With heavy rainfall and high winds starting Tuesday, Bensalem Police warn residents to be prepared for flooding around the township.

BENSALEM TOWNSHIP, PA —With heavy rainfall and high winds expected from a storm starting Tuesday, the Bensalem Township Police Department has issued a weather alert for residents to be prepared.
The National Weather Service in Mount Holly said that the region could receive up to 4 inches of rain with the heaviest rainfall expected between 6 p.m. Tuesday and 2 a.m. Wednesday.
After this past weekend's storm, the National Weather Service said that saturated ground will make rivers and creeks run higher with Tuesday's rainfall, thus causing flooding throughout the region.

Meanwhile, there is a wind advisory for inland areas with winds forecast up to 65 mph in some areas, the weather service said.
Bensalem Police said that the pending storm will impact the region and may cause flooding within the township.

Police are recommending that residents who live along the Poquessing Creek, Neshaminy Creek, and the Delaware River should monitor the surrounding area for flooding.
"Please be sure to take action to protect yourself and your residence from possible flooding," police said.
The Bensalem Township Emergency Management Agency will be actively monitoring the storm's progress and will assist with township’s response to this storm.
In an emergency situation, residents should call 911 for further assistance.
