About 70,000 copies of the two titles being recalled were sold.
Story by Lucy Bennett
Two children's books are being recalled because a detached metal bar can expose a sharp edge posing a laceration hazard, according to a release from the Consumer Product Safety Commission.

The books include a metal rod holding small beads on the cover of books. The rod can detach and release small parts that present a choking hazard, according the CPCS, and the detached bar can pose a laceration hazard.
About 70,000 copies of the books were sold at Barnes & Noble, Amazon.com and other retailers from June to August 2013 for about $8.
