Local Student Brings Home Gold in National Competition
Bensalem's own Dave Senko recognized for electrical construction wiring.

A Bucks County Technical High School graduate recently won a national award.
David Senko, of Bensalem, competed last week in the Skills USA National Competitions in Kansas City, Missouri.Â
A 2012 graduate of our Electrical Occupations Technology program at BCTHS, Dave won a gold medal in the Electrical Construction Wiring category.

According to a release, only the "best-of-the-best" attend the national competition and approximately 6,000 outstanding state winners competed in over 90 different trade, technical and leadership areas.Â
Winning the competition not only grants the winners first prize, it shows that they are among the best in the industry, the release stated.

According to PhillyBurbs, two other local teens were also recognized.
Middle Bucks Institute of Technology students Nathan Benner, of Warrington, and Matthew Sowden, of Southampton, teamed up to win a bronze medal for Web Design.
