Man Wanted On Homicide Charges Caught In Bensalem

Bensalem Police pulled over a vehicle that led to the arrest of a Trenton, N.J., man wanted on a homicide warrant.

BENSALEM TOWNSHIP, PA — A Trenton, N.J., man is in custody on murder charges after a traffic stop on Saturday, police said.

Bensalem Police said that a police officer was on patrol Saturday in the area of 2700 Knights Road when he spotted a black Chevrolet Malibu with heavily tinted windows that violated the PA Vehicle Code.

The police officer made a traffic stop and made contact with the driver and passenger of the vehicle.

Police said the passenger was identified as Quamere Forney, 31, Laurel Place, Trenton, N.J.

A check of the National Crime Information Center revealed that Forney had an active arrest warrant out of the Trenton Police Department for attempted homicide and related charges.

Forney was taken into custody without incident, arraigned by District Justice Baranoski, and remanded to the Bucks County Correctional Facility with no bail. He is awaiting extradition.
