Multi-Vehicle Crash Closes PA Turnpike Westbound Lanes

BENSALEM TOWNSHIP, PA — The Bensalem Township Fire Rescue Department is reporting a motor vehicle collision on the Pennsylvania Turnpike on Thursday morning.

Fire officials said the crash is in the westbound lanes of the Pennsylvania Turnpike between Bensalem and Willow Grove.

Fire officials are asking drivers to avoid the area.

The Bensalem Volunteer Fire Department said that Engine 65 —along with Engine 222, Rescue 16 , Rescue 2 and Quint 35 (Montco) — responded to the turnpike this morning for a reported multi-vehicle crash with entrapment.

Te roadway is still closed as of this time as crews continue to operate at the scene of the accident.

Authorities did not provide any details about the crash, the length of the delays, or whether there are any injuries.
