Redbox Rentals: Top 5 This Week

In the mood to rent a movie, but not sure what's popular? Patch has teamed up with Redbox to bring you the top five movie rentals in our area.

Here’s what’s hot:

• Bad Teacher (R): Cameron Diaz plays, well, a bad teacher – foul-mouthed, ruthless and inappropriate. When she gets dumped by her fiancé, she targets a rich, handsome substitute teacher. Someone, in all of this, there are supposed to be a lot of laughs.
• Bridesmaids (R): Does anyone else think this is some sort of Thelma & Louise take on The Hangover?
• Zookeeper (PG):  Kevin James, everyone’s favorite Mall Cop, goes for easy laughs in a twist on the Dr. Doolittle premise.
• Captain America: The First Avenger (PG-13): Another comic book hero comes to the big screen. As an added bonus, Captain America is set during World War II, so we get two tired Hollywood genres for the price of one.
• X-Men: First Class (PG-13):  Apparently, if you can’t come up with a sequel, it’s accept to go to a prequel. In this case, we go back to the Cold War with the first X-Men.  If Hollywood could have mixed in a vampire premise between Captain America and X-men, we might have had a Hollywood hat trick.
