Route 1 Construction Begins Tuesday In Lower Bucks Co.
PennDOT said the work is part of the Route 1 Improvements Project in Bensalem and Middletown townships.

LOWER BUCKS COUNTY, PA —The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation said construction is starting on Route 1 in Bensalem and Middletown townships on Tuesday.
PennDOT said the construction is part of its $116 million project to reconstruct, widen, and improve a three-mile section of U.S. 1 in Bucks County.

- Tuesday, April 1, and Wednesday, April 2, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., lane closures will be in place on U.S. 1 in both directions between Rockhill Drive and Fairhill Avenue for activation of a digital message board.
Drivers are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work area because backups and delays will occur.
All scheduled activities are weather dependent.

The work is part of PennDOT’s U.S. 1/RC2 contract that will reconstruct and widen U.S. 1 from south of the Rockhill Drive Interchange to north of the Penndel/Business U.S. 1 Interchange.
