PennDOT Plans Route 1 Construction On Friday. Learn Details
PennDOT said weekend work on Rockhill Drive and two Route 1 ramps in Lower Bucks County won't occur due to inclement weather.

LOWER BUCKS COUNTY, PA — Weekend intersection construction on the Route 1 Improvements Project is back on for this weekend, PennDOT said.
The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation said that the closure of Rockhill Drive and two Route 1 ramps in Bensalem Township is scheduled for the weekend after being postponed due to weather last week.
Starting at 8 p.m. on Friday, Rockhill Drive will close at Horizon Boulevard until 5 a.m. Monday.

The work is part of PennDOT’s $116 million U.S. 1/RC2 contract that will reconstruct and widen U.S. 1 from south of the Rockhill Drive Interchange to north of the Penndel/Business U.S. 1 Interchange.
The exit ramp for northbound Route 1 traffic to Rockhill Drive and the ramp from westbound Rockhill Drive to southbound Route 1 will also be closed for the weekend.

PennDOT is planning the following detours:
- Motorists on northbound Route 1 heading for the east side of Rockhill Drive will be detoured north on Route 1, exit at Penndel/Business Route 1, turn left onto southbound Old Lincoln Highway, turn left onto Bristol Road, and turn right onto Neshaminy Boulevard to access Rockhill Drive.
- Motorists on northbound Route 1 heading for the west side of Rockhill Drive will be detoured north on Route 1, exit at Penndel/Business Route 1, and turn left onto southbound Old Lincoln Highway to access Rockhill Drive.
- Motorists on westbound Rockhill Drive heading for southbound Route 1 will be detoured north on Route 1, exit at Penndel/Business Route 1, and turn left onto southbound Old Lincoln Highway to access the ramp to southbound Route 1.
Local access through Rockhill Drive will be maintained, and drivers are advised to allow extra time traveling through the area.
