BENSALEM TOWNSHIP, PA —Don't worry boys and girls —Santa Claus is still coming to town.

He just won't be coming to the Neshaminy Mall.

The mall's new owners won't be suiting up Saint Nick in his usual spot outside the Barnes & Noble.

A representative for the mall's current owners, Paramount Realty and Edgewood Properties, told Action News 6 that it's because of decreased foot traffic.

Social media posts popped up recently after a store told customers that Santa would not be coming to this mall even though the jolly fella has already set up shop at area malls, the Bucks County Courier Times reported.

Residents have reacted on some Bensalem community Facebook pages that Santa's no-show is "so sad."

"He’s coming to my house this year because I’ve been a good boy," one Bucks County resident posted.

Patch has sent an email to Paramount Realty seeking comment about why Santa Claus would be snubbing families who would take their children annually for pictures with Santa and the chance to share their Christmas wish lists with the Red One.

The mall also hasn't put up Christmas decorations yet either, reports state.

The new owners had told the Bensalem Economic Development Corp. in September that they are "dedicated" to developing the site.

Paramount Realty finalized its deal with Edgewater Properties and closed on the purchase of the 1 million-square-foot mall in mid-July.

The Neshaminy Mall sits on a 108.5 acre-site located on Route 1 (right off Exit 351 of the PA Turnpike).

The entire property, excluding the former Macy’s, was included in the sale and positions this Property as an excellent redevelopment opportunity featuring a high-performing Boscov’s, Barnes & Noble, and a 24-screen AMC Theatre in addition to On The Border and UNO Chicago Grill, which are located outside the mall.

The Neshaminy Mall acquisition comes 11 months after the Paramount / Edgewood acquisition of Brunswick Square Mall – a 754,299 square-foot regional mall located on Route 18 in East Brunswick, N.J.

The mall lost a chuck of customers when anchor stores closed with Macy's in 2017 and Sears in 2018.

A recent visit there by Patch revealed little foot traffic and empty corridors with most shoppers in the remaining anchor Boscov's and inside the Barnes & Noble.
