Students, teachers and staff of Robert K. Shafer Middle School will have a chance to say goodbye to someone they recently lost.
Shafer Principal William J. Incollingo announced that the school will be closed Thursday for the funeral of teacher Ian O’Malley.
“All of us in the Bensalem Township School District are saddened by the passing of Mr. Ian O’Malley, a beloved seventh grade science teacher at Robert K. Shafer Middle School,” he said.

According to PhillyBurbs, O'Malley, 26, died in a car crash Saturday morning along with Michael Festa, a Langhorne soccer coach. The accident occurred on Woodbourne Road in Middletown.
The funeral is from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. Thursday at the James O. Bradley Funeral Home, 260 Bellevue Ave. in Penndel, PhillyBurbs stated.
