
Some very small people took their first big step toward success recently when they graduated from YWCA Pre-K programs at the YWCA Bucks Meadow and , both located in Bensalem. Graduation ceremonies were held in the Creekside Community Room located at the Creekside Apartments in Bensalem.
A total of 12 pre-school-aged children participated in the graduations, 6 from the Bucks Meadow Family Center and 6 from the Creekside Family Center.
In addition to the presentation of diplomas to the children, who wore brightly colored caps and gowns, the ceremonies featured music and songs performed by the graduates along with refreshments and a host of happy parents, families, friends and local dignitaries.

The YWCA Pre-K Program is the first program in the continuum of YWCA Youth Services programs that span from early childhood to teen years. The classes prepare children for kindergarten academically and socially with lessons aligned in accordance with Pennsylvania Standards for Early Childhood Education.
