State Road Flooded In Bensalem Township
Bensalem Township officials and residents said State Road and Echo Beach was hit hard by heavy rainfall overnight Sunday into Monday.

BENSALEM TOWNSHIP, PA —Lynn Shuchat was worried when she woke up on Monday morning.
Her neighborhood in Echo Beach was flooded from heavy rainfall overnight into Monday.
The National Weather Service said that the Trevose area received at least 14 inches of rain from the storm Sunday, causing school bus delays Monday morning for children in the Bensalem Township School District.

Councilwoman Stacey Champion told Patch Monday that "State Road is a mess" and that some motorists were trying to go around two police cars toward northbound State Road.
She also said that Bristol Pike was a mess from Mill Road through Woodhaven Road.

Shuchat said that Echo Beach, a small neighborhood located off State Road next to the Pennsylvania Yacht Club is prone to flooding.
Echo Beach is one of the oldest neighborhoods in the township, Shuchat told Patch.
