Linconia Residents in Court Over July Incident
On July 7, a longstanding dispute involving a white resident of the predominantly black Linconia section resulted in 11 residents being taken into custody.

Three residents of the Linconia section of the township waived their right to a preliminary hearing on charges related to a dispute between neighbors and a subsequent confrontation with police in July.
According to a story on PhillyBurbs, the individuals – Tamika Bolton, Danielle Sobelman and Frederick James Sr. – will likely get Accelerated Rehabilitative Disposition, a program for first-time, nonviolent offenders. They were charged with disorderly conduct and related offenses.

As a result of the incident, which occurred on Kay Avenue, Public Safety Director Fred Harran proposed installing two surveillance cameras. Initially, some neighbors supported that idea, but many opposed it, citing the potential for invasion of privacy.
