Truck Knocks Down Langhorne Light Pole

On Aug. 5 at 8:38 p.m., responded to the scene of a tractor-trailer vs. light pole crash at the intersection of East Maple Avenue and Pine Street in Langhorne.

Police said the truck driver, Douglas Lawrence, 57, of Commerce, Georgia, attempted to make a right hand turn on Pine Street when he struck a light pole with the right side of his trailer. This caused the pole to come down onto the roadway.

The road was shut down for several hours due to the crash, police said.
