Two Seriously Injured in I-95 Crash
Two men were pushing a disabled car off the highway when another vehicle struck them from behind.

The following information was provided by the Pennsylvania State Police Trevose station.
On July 29 at 7:02 p.m., responded to a crash with injuries on I-95 northbound near Street Road in Bensalem.

Police said a driver and passenger were attempting to push their disabled Honda Civic from the right lane of the highway into the shoulder.
A 2002 Mazda Protégé approached them. The driver slammed on the brakes but was unable to stop in time. The Protégé struck the Civic and both men. The Civic passenger was dragged under and its driver was thrown toward the Civic’s rear windshield, police said.

A news alert issued at the time of the crash reported that one victim was pinned under the vehicle and had to be extricated.
Bensalem EMS transported the victims – Luis Juarez, 29, of Philadelphia (driver) and Serafin Ocampo-Tomas, 20, of Bensalem (passenger) – to Aria Torresdale Hospital with major injuries, police said.
Aria spokesperson Maria Battaglia told Patch today that both patients are now in fair condition.
The driver of the Mazda, Brandon Singleton, 29, of Bristol, was reported to have sustained an injury but was not transported by EMS. He faces unspecified charges, according to the accident report.
