Veterans Day Event Held at Robert K. Shafer Middle School

Students at the middle school participated in an assembly to honor veterans from around the country and in their community.

BENSALEM, PA — Students at Robert K. Shafer Middle School participated in a Veterans Day assembly on Wednesday, Nov. 10.

The assembly took place at 1:30 p.m. in the school's gymnasium. Seventh and eighth grade students had the opportunity to watch a presentation of the American flag by students from the Bensalem High School Marine Corps Junior Reserve Officers' Training Corps (MCJROTC), as well as the eighth grade chorus singing the National Anthem. The assembly saw introductions and remarks from District administrators.

Guest speakers included Shafer staff member Harold Piper, who served in the US Army,
Colonel John Church of the Leadership Studies Department, who also served as a Senior Marine Instructor, as well as Daniel Ceisler and Ashely Ehasz, both of whom also served in the US Army.
