Weather Service Issues Thunderstorm Watch

On Thursday at 2:35 p.m., the National Weather Service issued a severe thunderstorm watch for the surrounding area including Bucks and Montgomery counties.

The watch is in effect until 10 p.m.

In addition, a code orange air quality alert and an excessive heat warning remain in effect.

West wind between 5 and 9 mph. Chance of precipitation is 40%. New rainfall amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.
• Friday: A slight chance of showers between 8am and 2pm, then a chance of showers and thunderstorms after 2pm. Partly sunny, with a high near 90. North wind around 6 mph. Chance of precipitation is 50%. New rainfall amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.
• Friday Night: A chance of showers and thunderstorms. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 69. East wind around 7 mph. Chance of precipitation is 50%. New rainfall amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.
