Chesterbrook Academy Students Donate 200 Gifts to Local Nonprofit

Students held a donation drive to benefit the Volunteer Center Of The Lehigh Valley's Holiday Hope Chests program

Students at Chesterbrook Academy Preschool on High Point Boulevard in Bethlehem recently donated 225 items to the Volunteer Center Of The Lehigh Valley’s Holiday Hope Chests program, which helps to ensure every child receives a special gift during the holiday season by distributing more than 4,000 gift boxes to at-risk or underprivileged youth in the Lehigh Valley. For the past month, students collected a variety of items, including toys, games, arts and crafts, winter clothing and personal care items. At the end of the collection, students organized the gifts and helped prepare them for delivery to the organization. Through this initiative, students learned the importance of giving back and helping others in the community, especially during the holiday season.

The Volunteer Center of the Lehigh Valley has been serving the Lehigh Valley and surrounding communities for over 35 years as a capacity builder, resource provider and connector for the nonprofit and business communities as well as individuals who want to give back.
