Elderly Man Shot At On I-78 In Road Rage Incident: Police

Pennsylvania State Police are looking for the driver of a Dodge Charger, who they say shot at another motorist Wednesday night.

ALLENTOWN, PA — Pennsylvania State Police are looking for a driver who pulled out a gun and shot at another motorist on Interstate 78 in an apparent case of road rage.

The shooting happened around 11:30 p.m. Wednesday near the Lehigh Street exit on Interstate 78 eastbound in Allentown.

According to police, a 75-year-old man was driving a Chevrolet Tahoe in the right lane of the three-lane highway. Behind him, the driver of a Dodge Charger was driving aggressively before passing the Tahoe in the center lane, police said.

The driver pointed a gun at the 75-year-old as they passed him and the man drove away from the Charger, police said.

Once safe, the man pulled off the interstate to check his car and found a bullet hole in the rear bumper, police said.
